Update from Brother Kitson Reid
My beloved brothers and sisters, never before have Alison and I felt such depth of love and fellowship as we have felt and been privileged to feel over the past 10 days we have a truly wonderful fellowship in Christ Jesus let us therefore never take it for granted.
Keziah update
- She continues with dialysis treatment every day for 6 hours
- She continues with blood plasma exchange for 5 hours 3 days a week
- She has had a body scan designed to check all her vital organs and so we await prayerfully the results, trusting that the Lord will be merciful and continue to grant us strength.
- Her blood pressure is still reasonably high(for a 2 year old) and the doctors are daily monitoring her medication .
- She is eating and drinking well and can take a few steps .
- It is important to say that at present the machines are doing the work of her 2 kidneys and have stablelized her condition bringing with it some marked improvements.
- kidneys regulate blood pressure and separate toxins from the body so it is really only after these 6 weeks of intense treatment can we then determine if her kidneys are fully functional again. And so we give ourselves to prayer.
- The doctors behave said that there was considerable damage to the kidneys after the biopsy carried out nearly 2 weeks ago, how much damage cannot be determined at this time.
Alison and I really want to say how deeply moved we have been by your love, and concern as well as offers of help in so many ways but especially your prayers coming from all parts of the world . Our strength has been centred in this one phrase which is simply this “Let go and let God"
We are trying to keep the continuity in the home best we can with Caleb Joel and Ethan but also not neglecting their need of love and attention’, I need to work at being more patient with them.
Alison is bearing up I really don’t know what I would do without her.
